ARCS Australia launches Public Clinical Site Partnership, with Monash Health as founding member
ARCS Australia Ltd has launched the ARCS Public Clinical Site Partnership, a new national model designed to strengthen the capability, visibility and sector connection of public clinical research sites across Australia. Monash Health has joined as a founding partner.
The partnership gives participating sites whole-of-site access to professional development through ARCS membership for all staff, quarterly virtual GCP training to support audit readiness, and structured capability uplift aligned to the ARCS Core Competency Framework. These resources are designed to support sites in meeting the requirements of ICH E6(R3) and maintaining high performance across their clinical trial portfolios.
ARCS Chief Executive Officer Dr Tim Boyle said the partnership responds to a consistent challenge for public sites operating in an increasingly complex regulatory and competitive environment.
"Public clinical research sites are doing critical work, but they're often operating with fragmented support and limited connection to the broader sector," Dr Boyle said. "This model gives sites a single, cost-effective investment that builds capability across the whole team, not just individuals, and connects them with sponsors, CROs, regulators and industry in a meaningful way."
From 2027, participating sites will have a dedicated presence in the Site Pavilion at the ARCS Clinical Summit and ARCS Annual Conference, providing direct engagement with pharmaceutical and medtech companies, CROs, regulators and sector leaders. Sites also become part of ARCS' broader professional community across clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, safety and market access, supporting stronger sponsor alignment and earlier visibility of pipeline activity.
ARCS will also represent participating sites in its ongoing engagement with government, regulators and industry on national priorities including clinical trial reform, workforce capability and system efficiency.
Monash Health, one of Australia's largest public health services, joins as a founding partner. Associate Professor Tam C. Nguyen, Director Research and Innovation at Monash Health, said the partnership reflects the organisation's commitment to building a world-class clinical research environment.
"Clinical research excellence depends on having well-supported, well-connected teams," Associate Professor Nguyen said. "Partnering with ARCS gives our researchers and coordinators access to nationally recognised professional development and places Monash Health firmly within the conversations that are shaping the future of clinical trials in Australia. In addition to training programs internally and in collaboration with our industry partners, we see this as an investment in our people and in the long-term capability of our sites."
Public clinical research sites interested in joining the partnership are invited to contact ARCS Australia directly.
