Sydney, 19 September – ARCS Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of two highly respected leaders in the Australian Lifesciences sector, Anne O’Neill PSM MMPP and Associate Professor Tam Nguyen FMPP, following the recent board election.

Anne O’Neill MMPP brings more than 25 years of experience across the health, medical research and policy sectors. As Director of Commercialisation and Strategic Partnerships with NSW Health Office of Medical Reserach, she has led the design and implementation of major programs to enhance medical research capacity in New South Wales and strengthen its global profile. O’Neill is responsible for initiatives such as the NSW Medical Device Fund and the NSW Commercialisation Training Program, both critical to accelerating innovation and fostering the next generation of medical entrepreneurs. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiology and Pharmacology) with Honours and an Executive Master of Public Administration.

Associate Professor Tam Nguyen FMPP is Director of Research & Innovation at Monash Health, Victoria’s largest public health service, overseeing research strategy, governance, funding, partnerships, and innovation. With 25 years of experience across clinical trials, tertiary hospitals, medical research institutes and universities, A/Prof Nguyen is a recognised leader in driving collaboration between industry, health services, and academia. He holds multiple academic appointments in Australia and internationally, is co-editor of AI in Medicine (Springer), and serves as an advisor and non-executive director across the medtech and health tech ecosystem. A/Prof Nguyen is also a Fellow of ARCS Australia, alongside fellowships with the Royal Society of Medicine, Royal Society of Public Health, and other professional bodies.
