Are you looking to develop your leadership, communication, and meeting facilitation skills? Would you like to raise your profile within the sector and contribute to the professional growth of others? Becoming an ARCS convenor might be the perfect opportunity.
Interest area convenors play a central role in shaping and delivering content to our members. These meetings are valued for their practical insights and timely discussion topics — and they only happen thanks to the contributions of our volunteers. Convenors are supported by the ARCS office, which provides administrative assistance to ensure success.
If you're a line manager, consider whether someone in your team could benefit from this opportunity as a professional development goal. To learn more, contact us.

These sessions are free for ARCS members and contribute to ongoing professional development. Webinars usually run from 12:30–1:30pm throughout the year, with most interest areas offering up to six sessions annually (except in December and January).
State Networking Groups bring members together to connect, share updates, and explore developments within the sector. Each group is hosted by a volunteer convenor and supported by ARCS staff, providing an opportunity for local engagement and community-building across industry sectors including organising networking activities and careers roadshows.
ARCS advisory panels are formed to offer insight and guidance on key developments, challenges, and projects affecting the sector. Each panel operates under a charter outlining its purpose, responsibilities, and time commitments.
Participating in an advisory panel is a great way to contribute to sector advancement and your own professional growth.
The ARCS Conference Advisory Panel supports the delivery of our flagship annual event. Its responsibilities include:
