The ARCS College of Fellows recognises individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the medtech and pharmaceutical sector and to the advancement of ARCS as a professional organisation.
Fellowship is the highest honour awarded by ARCS. It reflects a career marked by leadership, expertise, and a deep commitment to capability building across the life sciences profession.
All Professional Members of ARCS are entitled to use the postnominal MMPP — Medtech and Pharmaceutical Professional — as a nationally recognised mark of capability, commitment to ongoing professional development, and contribution to the sector.
Fellows are granted the enhanced postnominal FMPP — Fellow of the Medtech and Pharmaceutical Profession. This distinction recognises a sustained and outstanding contribution to the profession, above and beyond the expectations of standard professional membership.
Fellows are leaders in their field and are widely respected for their thought leadership, mentorship, and service to the community.
The FMPP program was created to formally acknowledge professionals who have demonstrated:
Longstanding commitment to professional excellence
Leadership and innovation within the life sciences sector
Meaningful voluntary contributions to the ARCS community
Fellows are inducted into the ARCS College of Fellows, a group of distinguished professionals who support sector advancement and strengthen professional networks.
Members of the College of Fellows serve as ambassadors for the organisation. They provide strategic insight, mentor emerging professionals, contribute to thought leadership, and champion the advancement of standards, ethics, and excellence across the sector.
The College plays an active role in shaping ARCS’ future—helping guide professional development programs, participating in high-level panels and forums, and supporting strategic initiatives.
To be considered for FMPP status, applicants must:
Be a current ARCS Chartered Member
Have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the MedTech and/or pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrate significant leadership and influence in their professional roles
Show active involvement in ARCS initiatives, such as training, committees, summits, working groups, or special interest groups
Provide two professional references from ARCS members supporting their nomination
FMPPs are publicly recognised for their contribution and leadership through:
A formal announcement at the ARCS Annual Conference
Listing on the ARCS College of Fellows Register
Use of the official FMPP postnominal
Each Fellow receives a certificate of recognition and joins a community dedicated to championing excellence and professionalism in the sector.
| Month | Activity | |
|---|---|---|
| January | Applications open | |
| 31 March | Applications close | |
| June | Fellows announced at ARCS Annual Conference |
Each year, ARCS invites nominations for the FMPP designation. Both self-nominations and nominations by peers are welcome.
Applicants must complete a short application form and provide supporting documentation, including a CV and two references. Applications are reviewed by the ARCS College of Fellows review committee. Final approval is subject to ratification by the ARCS Business Office and Board.
Please note that FMPP is a competitive and selective honour. While many applicants may meet the eligibility criteria and demonstrate exceptional contributions, only a limited number of Fellows are appointed each year. As such, not all eligible applicants will be successful in any given cycle.
We strongly encourage those who are unsuccessful to continue their involvement with ARCS; whether through volunteering, presenting, mentoring or participating in committees; and to consider reapplying in future years.
Applications for the 2026 cohort will open in February and outcomes announced in June.
