Summary of Job Description:

 

This full-time or part time (4 days/week) permanent position is responsible for providing market access expertise within the AbbVie AUS Immunology portfolio and to manage the activities required in gaining and maintaining reimbursement and optimal market access according to local reimbursement guidelines and market access conditions.

 

 

 

Major Responsibilities: Manage all market access (MA) aspects of the immunology product portfolio for specific disease areas and brand teams.

 

  • Product Specific Reimbursed Access

    • Assessment of reimbursement feasibility for new indications.

    • Collaboration with region and global to provide early input to trial design and affiliate needs. Partnership with region, global and major HTA markets to fill gaps, solve problems and share best practice related to specific market access challenges

    • Lead preparation of PBAC submissions including management of external consultants, to develop financial and health economic modelling to support new indications, and to prepare for negotiation with government for risk sharing activities where applicable

    • Develop strategies for access, including managed entry opportunities if appropriate

    • Work collaboratively with other functions to identify, design and implement data collection projects including:

      • Real world evidence for new indications to support reimbursement submissions

      • Generate local data to close identified gaps post PBS listing in collaboration with medical function where applicable

  • Strategy and Influence:

    • Identify MA and pricing challenges and opportunities through environmental and competitor scanning and analyses to inform the business planning process

    • Represent AbbVie externally if appropriate through Medicines Australia working groups or other bodies to influence and shape market access policies

  • Add value to Matrix Teams

    • Represent Market Access on AUS Immunology Brand Team(s) and contribute beyond functional boundaries to Brand Team strategy and goals

    • Contribute to Market Access and External Affairs team through active participation at team meetings, engagement in non brand specific policy and environmental shaping activities and sharing best practice.

  • Pipeline

    • Lead evaluation of Immunology pipeline for market access feasibility including price and access assumptions

    • Provide input to region and global on evidence needs in collaboration with other HTA markets

Engage in financial planning process for market access assumptions related to Immunology pipeline
