OVER 65% EXHIBITION SPACE & 43% SPONSORSHIP SOLD!
Your Invitation
It gives me great pleasure to release the Sponsorship and Exhibitor Prospectus and invite you to participate as a sponsor and/or exhibitor at one or both of the two ARCS Scientific Congresses (ASC) to be held in 2010 - the premier Australian events for those involved in the development of therapeutic goods.
Surveys of member preferences over the past 12 months have indicated strong support for a major conference in Canberra to facilitate further collaboration and attendance of government staff from the TGA, PEB and NHMRC.
The ARCS Business Office is working closely with the ASC Organising Committees to hold two ASCs in 2010:
-
Autumn ASC (Research & Development focus)
27-28 May 2010
AJC Randwick, NSW
This meeting will focus on the development of therapeutic goods in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Sessions will be of relevance to scientists in industry, research institutions, government and academia involved in R&D, clinical research, audit and compliance, data management and statistics and related disciplines.
-
Spring ASC (Regulatory and Reimbursement focus)
13-14 September 2010
National Convention Centre, Canberra, ACT
This meeting will focus on partnerships with regulators and reimbursement agencies. Sessions will be of relevance to those involved with peri-and post-marketing activities for therapeutic goods (prescription and OTC medicines, devices and biologics).
Having the two separate Congresses in 2010 gives you greater capability to target your message depending on the audience. Plus if you sponsor/exhibit at both, you receive a 25% discount off the price to attend both (as listed in the brochure).
About ARCS
Founded in 1984, ARCS Australia Ltd (formerly the Association of Regulatory and Clinical Scientists) has over 2,500 members working within regulatory affairs, clinical research, health economics, medical devices, pharmacovigilance, medical writing, workplace management, data management, biostatistics and the provision of medical information in the Australasian and Asia Pacific pharmaceutical and health care industries.
Previous Delegates
In difficult economic times when many businesses and activities were seeing a downturn, the ARCS 18th Annual Scientific Congress 2009 defied the odds by attracting 1,168 delegates – a 5% increase on the previous year’s figures. With the large range of sessions offered at the 2009 Congress, we were able to attract a vast array of attendees, with the delegation consisting of Team Leaders & Managers ( 2%), Associates ( 0%), Senior Associates (15%) and CEO/GM/Director/Senior Management (14%) who were predominately employed in Clinical Research ( 1%), Regulatory Affairs ( 0%), Medical Information (8%), Health Economics (6%), and Pharmacovigilance (6%) within the industries of Prescription (52%), CRO (9%), Biotech (8%), Government & Academia (5%), OTC & Complementary ( %) and Devices (2%).
We still expect the same type of delegates however they will be split across the two conferences - depending on their discipline and interest - with 500 expected at each.

ASC Exhibitors must adhere to all relevant Privacy Regulations in relation to the collection of personal data from delegates. The purpose for which the data is being collected must be clearly displayed, and the data only used for these purposes. Business cards collected for a prize draw should be used only for this purpose, unless delegates are clearly informed that the cards may be used for follow-up contact.
Consultants Table Display
To assist sole traders and small businesses (1-5 employees), with limited budget, reach Congress delegates we have introduced exhibition space at a reduced rate. Rather than an exhibition booth, you will have a trestle table with a vertical display panel at the back.
