ARCS maintains a membership database for the purposes of communicating with them, alerting them of events, news and advertising, surveying their views in relation to ARCS, its role and services. All ARCS members have the ability to opt in or opt out of email and postal services, however as the Association has a goal of providing information, education and networking opportunities, participation is encouraged to ensure members receive these benefits. Surveys conducted by the Association allow respondents to remain anonymous.

ARCS does not provide member information to other members or to 3rd parties, although subgroups of the membership such as Education Subcommittees will have the ability to communication with each other and with other members regarding ARCS activities.

We do offer a mail distribution service to advertisers. Any information/material for distribution is reviewed to ensure its relevance and appropriateness for our members before it is distributed by ARCS to the membership. The mail distribution service is a service to members and contributes significant revenue to subsidise other member activities.

Openness - Companies must maintain a clear statement of policy about access to personal information. Further information on ARCS’ Policies is available on request.

Access and correction - ARCS allows members to directly access their own demographic details and will supply additional information if requested by an individual member.

Anonymity - Companies must provide the option for individuals to supply information anonymously, except when it is unlawful or impracticable to do so.
