abARCS Australia survives and continues to grow in strength and relevance as a result of our active members.

Volunteering your time with ARCS offers personal development, broadening of experience and career enrichment.

If you would like to broaden your industry knowledge, improve on your experience, or network with your industry peers, here is what you can do!

Join an Interest Area Committee

There are 11 special interest groups and four regional networking groups, and their contribution to the Association in directing our educational programs can never be over-estimated.
IAC members gain enormously from the networking and exchange of ideas and solutions that is possible within the Committee!
They also develop skills in meeting organization and management as well as in time and people management.
Everyone has something valuable to contribute – a thought provoking question is just as important as having the answer, as we need to think critically and keep improving our process. Your attendance makes these meetings interesting and informative!

Write an article or be a guest editor for the “Source Document”

The Source Document is our hardcopy quarterly journal which is free to members and has a circulation of approximately 2700.
We invite our members to submit articles or to guest edit the Source Document.
Some ideas for articles are:
  • The latest changes in government, processes, people, policies or guidelines and how we should we work with them and/or new content in your respective disciplines
  • Information about committee or interest group activities – in the future or in the recent past
  • Non-ARCS Events relevantto your group incl. international or local happenings, changes to regulations or the environment that you work in.
  • ARCS event write-ups.  This includesthe two Canberra conferences or Clinical and Leadership conferences (25th October) etc.
  • News and views; people and places; photos are great!
If you would like to contribute, please email bertabrein@arcs.com.au

Help organise or chair a session at our Annual Congress

The ARCS Sydney & Canberra ASC Congress Committees encourages the submission of abstracts which are thought provoking and include the sharing of actual case studies to promote information exchange.  Abstracts should reflect contemporary issues and may be controversial and/or cutting edge.
For more information email arcs@arcs.com.au or visit http://arcsconferences.com/

ARCS would like to acknowledge and thank all the volunteers (and their companies) for the time and energy they have provided for the benefit of the broader membership.
