More than 10 years experience with 5 years at a senior management level? You may be eligible to be certified as an ACF in clinical research. 

ARCS Certified Fellows (ACF) in clinical research are full ARCS members in the clinical research discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with 5 at a senior level.

Applicants must outline how they fulfill the requirements of this certification category by demonstrating that they have held a position for a minimum of 5 years which requires strategic leadership and decision making at a program (rather than project) level and contribute to the success/growth of therapeutic goods development in Australia.

Working at a senior level may include (provided as a guide only): 

  • Clinical Research Manager / Operations Manager (or higher) for more than 5 years
  • A Director of their own business or Australian affiliate for a global organisation providing strategic advice to clients for more than 5 years

It is a requirement for applicants wanting to become an ARCS Certified Fellow to identify an ARCS Board Director or another ACF to sponsor their application. Please contact joebadolato@arcs.com.au if you need assistance in identifying an appropriate sponsor.

Process

  1. Review all the requirements for being an ARCS Certified Fellow in clinical research
  2. Complete the application form and attach supporting documentation (e.g. CV etc)
    1. Applicants must outline how they fulfill the requirements of this certification category by demonstrating that they have held a position for a minimum of 5 years which requires strategic leadership and decision making at a program (rather than project) level and contribute to the success/growth of therapeutic goods development in Australia.
  3. Identify an ACF or ARCS Board member to sponsor your application.
  4. Forward your application to your sponsor Send in your application form with supporting documents to training@arcs.com.au
  5. Make your payment on-line
    1. Please login to the ARCS Members Area, select Training ----> Register ----> Type = Certification ----> ARCS Certified Fellow (ACF) Application  ----> Add to My Choices ----> Register Now
  6. Allow 4 - 6 weeks for your application to be processed as your application as it will need to be reviewed and approved at an ARCS Board meeting.

Applications to be an ACF will be approved by a majority vote of the ARCS Board. Please refer to the ACF Information Pack for more information.
